Shredding Process

The Benefits Of Using Document Shredding Specialists

Document shredding specialist provide an invaluable service for small and large businesses. They regularly collect and shred secure paperwork and waste paper from a business premises, offering an environmentally friendly and secure means of disposing of any paperwork.

As well as being able to establish a regular collection and shredding routine, your business can enjoy the benefits of a mobile shredding service. The shredding company will not only collect your waste paper, but will shred it at the side of the road outside your office, so you can be certain that it has been properly disposed of.

Waste Management

Every organisation should have a waste management plan, and as well as disposing of general waste, and any industrial waste, this should also include recyclable waste such as paper and card.

Allowing waste paper to collect can be a potential hazard. Paper is flammable, and even a small fire can spread very quickly when paper is introduced. The longer the paper is left, the drier it becomes, and the greater the hazard that it causes.

Environmentally Friendly

Throwing waste paper in with the rest of the waste is damaging to the environment. It will typically find its way to landfill where it will take up space while it begins the rotting process. By using document shredding specialists, the waste paper from your organisation can be collected and sympathetically recycled.

Secure Shredding

Even the modern business tends to print off a lot of documents. Whether it is mission critical to print paperwork or not, many employees prefer to work from paper rather than a computer screen and this means that anything from accounts and HR details to product development plans and customer data may be printed. All of this information needs to be destroyed securely.

Document shredding specialists use a cross hatch shredding technique, considered the most secure method of shredding because it is impossible to put the pieces back together in a meaningful way.

Mobile Services

Some shredding specialists may collect your paper and then remove it before shredding. This means that there is a long period of time when the paper is being transported and you do not know exactly how secure it is.

Mobile shredding takes place at your office premises. The van itself is also the shredder. The paperwork is placed in the back, and you or a member of your team can watch the process take place so that you can be completely confident that the paperwork was disposed of securely and properly.

A Regular Shredding Routine

Using a reliable shredding service means that you can arrange for regular collections and shredding runs. You should be provided with bags or other containers to keep the shredding in, and you can either arrange for a regular collection schedule, or call when you have reached a certain number of bags.

Some companies may have considerable and regular requirements for shredding, while other businesses may have more erratic need of a shredding service. By using a reputable company, it is possible to ensure that you get all of the benefits of shredding when you want them.

Document Shredding Specialists

Whatever the size and purpose of your business, you can use document shredding specialists to help with a waste management programme, and to recycle documents in a secure and reliable manner.

Set up a regular schedule to ensure that you never have too much of a build-up of paper, and you can even watch the shredding take place to ensure that all of your sensitive paperwork is properly destroyed.
